The Hong Kong Security Association is and had been a supporting association to many international exhibition companies and agencies to promote security products and concepts in international Expo and Congress. These international exhibition companies include Hong Kong Exhibition Services Ltd ( Securitex 2010), Reed Exhibition Ltd ( AEROSPACE International Expo and Congress, 2009), Diversified Event Hong Kong, LLC ( Retail Asia Expo & Congress 2010 ), Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd ( Intersec Thailand, 2010), Facility Media ( BuilTech Conference and Congress, 2009) etc.

Members of the Association gain international exposure and networking in all these exhibitions and enjoy a substantial discount in joining the Expo and Congress for being members of the Association.

The Hong Kong Security Association has initiated a “Q” Award for its Type 4 Members ( Security Equipments). The “Q” Award is presented to Type 4 Members who pledge to commit themselves to:
(a) All products are authentic and conform to international standards
(b) Comprehensive and ethical sales services
(c) Customer-oriented after sales services.

All applications are vetted by a Judge Panel of 3 designated Executive Committee Members. The “Q” Award, once granted, will be vetted and renewed every year. Any awarded Members fail to comply with their pledges may have their “Q” Award status revoked.
The “Q” Awardees are presented with a “Q” Mark crystal plague to be displayed to the public to guarantee their commitment to excellent quality and services.
